Pearl A. Speakman

Pearl A. Speakman, 78 years of Narvon died on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and hospice.

She was born in Chester County on Thursday, January 14, 1943.  Pearl was the daughter of the late Clyde and Naomi (Good) Cloud.  She was the wife of the late John Speakman, who died on June 15, 2019.

She was a production worker for Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown for just under 40 years.  Pearl enjoyed gardening, time spent with her family and the holiday seasons. 

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde, Robert and Thomas Cloud and her sister, Betty Sweigart.

Pearl is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Yost of Lincoln University, Pa.  and Brenda Carter of New Castle, De., three brothers, John Cloud, Pierce (Margie) Cloud, and Edward (Paula) Cloud, and five sisters, Geraldine Hamara, Margaret Wills, Dorothy McGinnis, Alice Dempsey, and Linda Munzenmeyer.  Also, by a granddaughter, Stephanie Conlon and a great grandson, Jonathan Conlon.      

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, at 12 PM at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave, Honey Brook, Pa. with Pastor Mark Beideman officiating.    Interment will follow at the Bridgeville E.C. Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Pearl to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT  06851.

My thoughts and prayers to all the familys I worked with Pearl at pepperidgefarms she was such a nice person to work with. I will miss her I also worked with other members of her family thinking of all of them at this time of loss

My sympathies to Pearl’s family. Pearl was one of my better workers when we worked at Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown, PA. I was her supervisor and she was always a joy to be around and always a very willing worker. Miss those times but remember them well.
