John J. Morgitan, 72 years of Honey Brook died at his home on September 26, 2025, while under the loving care of hospice and his family.
He was born in Phoenixville on Sunday, January 25, 1953. John was the son of the late Joseph B. and Lily Hilda (Winter) Morgitan. He was the husband of Theresa M. (Sonet) Morgitan.
John was a tool and die machine operator for Philadelphia Gear Corporation for over 30 years. He loved to hunt and fish and repair tractors.
John is survived by his two daughters, Rebeca and her husband Richard Wu of East Norriton and Amy Jo and her husband Steven Fisher of Royersford, a brother, Joe Morgitan of Tampa and two sisters, Mary and her husband Gary Welsh of Elverson and Lillian and her husband Josh Hewitt of Pottstown. There are five grandchildren, Paige, Natalie, Penelope, Piper and Lauren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, 1261 Fillmore Street, Phoenixville, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of John to The Salvation Army, 669 East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, Pa. 19320.
