Laura A. Shepherd, 77 years of Lancaster, died on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Cedar Haven Nursing Center in Lebanon, following an illness.
She was born on Friday, October 24, 1947 in Washington, DC. Laura was the daughter of the late Francis and Harriett (Daddy) King. She was the wife of Jerry F. Shepherd, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Laura was a homemaker to her beloved family. She attended Baptist churches. Laura will be remembered as a caring mother and a devoted grandmother.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Bensinger and a grandson, Kyle King.
Laura is survived in addition to husband, by three sons, Frank King, Kevin Shepherd and Dwane Shepherd, a daughter, Mary, wife of Mark Williams and a sister, Joy Harry. There are ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Pastor Tanner Cosgrave officiating. Interment will follow at the Elverson United Methodist Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
