William A. “Bill” Rigg, Jr., 84, of Honey Brook - formerly of Brandamore – peacefully went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Meadows Health Care Center at Tel Hai Retirement Community. He was surrounded by his beloved family and cared for by the compassionate Tel Hai nursing staff.

Born on August 5, 1940, in Pottstown, he was the son of the late William A. Rigg, Sr. and Anna Mary (Miller) Rigg. Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Joan M. (Zynn) Rigg. The two shared 65 beautiful years of marriage filled with partnership, adventure, and love.

In his youth, Bill was a Pioneer Boy Scout at Forks of the Brandywine Church under the guidance of Reverend Harry Kurtz. He found joy in horseback riding and excelled in competitive jumping. A 1958 graduate of Coatesville High School, he later became a dedicated leader with the Boy Scouts of America, guiding his sons through countless camping trips and outdoor expeditions.

Bill spent 44 years as a printer with Reynolds Printing Company (formerly Milprint) in Downingtown. A lifelong member of Forks of the Brandywine Evangelical Presbyterian Church, he served as a church trustee and lived his faith with quiet strength and compassion.

He was an enthusiastic outdoorsman and traveler. Bill was a proud member of the Z & R Hunting Camp in Tioga County. Alongside his wife Joan, he traveled to 49 of the 50 United States—riding a motorcycle through 47 of them—as well as numerous Canadian provinces, embracing the spirit of the open road. Bill also enjoyed gardening and canning with his wife. Once they put up over 400 quarts of spaghetti sauce using tomatoes from their 200 plants. He was also a lifetime member of the West Caln Sportsman’s Club and the Eastern PA Retreads Motorcycle Club, and the Draggin’ Wagons Car Club.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, Coty Austin Rigg., and two of his brothers-in-law, Robert “Bob” Ford and Larry Zynn.

Besides his wife he is survived by his four sons: Barry (Jean) Rigg, Rodney (Kathy) Rigg, Walter (Shelly) Rigg, and Tim (Claudia) Rigg; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Ford. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 1 PM from The Labs Funeral Home. Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Pastor David Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at the Forks of the Brandywine Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Bill to the Tel Hai Care Assurance Fund, PO Box 129, Honey Brook, Pa. 19344-0190.

My deepest condolences to Joan and the Rigg Family. I had the opportunity to care for Bill during his time at Tel Hai. Bill was quiet man, yet so kind and compassionate. The love he showed his family, is something I will admire forever. His smile would light up the room. I will miss early morning talks about the weather, and hearing Joan say “I love you Bill Rigg”. May he rest in peace.
