In Loving Memory of Genevieve Kautz

                                                          January 18, 1931- April 27th, 2025

Genevieve Lipsi Morgan Kautz died at her home on Sunday, April 27th, 2025 at the age of 94.  She is survived by her husband Eric Theodore (Ted) Kautz Jr., her children Rufus Morgan (Susan) of Audubon, NJ; Carol Stoltzfus (David) of Elverson, PA; Ken Morgan (Laurie) of Woodbridge, VA; and by Ted’s children Eric “Ted” Kautz III of Cocoa, FL; Catherine (Charles) Farrell and Allison (Tom) Fitzgerald all of King of Prussia, PA., 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and her first husband, Rufus L. Morgan who died in March of 2001.

Genevieve was born on January 18th, 1931, in Atco, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Audelia Staiano. Genevieve attended Lower Camden County High School in Lindenwold, NJ and graduated from the “old” Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 1951 as a registered nurse. She and Ted were high school sweethearts, but after six years they went their separate ways. She later met and married Rufus Morgan and together they moved to Washington, NC where he served as a Baptist minister, and she worked in the OR. They eventually relocated to NJ and Rufus began his teaching career while she worked at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. They raised their three children in Haddon Heights, NJ where many Italian meals were enjoyed, and many gallons of ice cream were consumed!

As a family, they faithfully attended Haddon Heights Baptist Church. Genevieve was known to quote her favorite verses: Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths." When it came time to retire, they settled in Elverson, PA.

Both Ted and Gene’s marriages ended with the deaths of their spouses after 49 years. They had raised their children and spent time with families. Their spark was reignited at a high school reunion when Ted asked Genevieve to dinner. Thus began a relationship that resulted in their marriage on October 9th, 2004 and in his decision for Christ -- “The Lord led me to Genevieve and Genevieve led me to the Lord.” God blessed Ted and Genevieve with 20 married years together.

A memorial service will be held from 11AM – 12 noon. on Friday, May 2nd at Brick Lane Community Church, 52 South Brick Lane, Elverson, PA with Pastor Josh Scherrer officiating. Visitation will occur one hour before starting at 10:00AM.

Arrangements by Labs Funeral Home, Inc., of Honey Brook, PA.
