Paul E. Rechenberg, Jr., 85 years old of Honey Brook, PA, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Reading Hospital.
He was born in Dunbar, PA on Friday, February 16, 1940. Paul was the son of the late Paul E. Rechenberg, Sr. and Catharine (Wishart) Rechenberg. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Jack) Rechenberg, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Paul was a graduate of the Indiana State Teachers College and a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity where he pinned his wife, Dorothy. He was a retired history and social studies teacher for North Brandywine Middle School in the Coatesville Area School District. Paul was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Pequea, where he was a Sunday School and Bible Study teacher. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping with his grandchildren, bird watching at his bird feeder, and assisting with many remodels and repair projects for family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by a grandson, Collin.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Suzanne (David) Schaeffer of Myerstown, PA, Natalie Rechenberg of Richland, PA, and Lisa (Chris) Teprovich of Mohrsville, PA, a brother, Richard Rechenberg of Dunbar, PA and two sisters, Margaret Miller of Dawson, PA and June Graham of Farmington, PA. There are ten grandchildren, Jeremy, Whitney, Bethany, Dawson, Mallory, Macauley, Timothy, Trevor and Andrew and two great grandchildren, Lydia and Owen.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM from The First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA, with Pastor Clinton Shodelmyer officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. A visitation hour will be held one hour prior to the service.
