Laura E. Emery

Laura E. Emery, 84 years old, of Elverson, passed away at her home, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family while under hospice care.

She was born on Monday, August 11, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pa. Laura was the daughter of the late Amos and Emma (Vandergrift) Weaver. She was the wife of Lawrence N. Emery, Jr., with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Laura was a homemaker to her beloved family. She was also an office administrator for the former Graco Plant in Elverson. Laura was a member of the High Point Baptist Chapel. She enjoyed scrapbooking, baking and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Emery, two brothers, Edward Weaver and Robert Weaver and a sister, Jean Gallagher.

She is survived by a son, Lawrence N. Emery, III and his wife Lottie Emery of Downingtown and a daughter, Penny Clark and her husband Ed Clark of Denver, Pa. There are seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1 PM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Pastor Stephen Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at the Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Broomall, Pa.

We mourn the earthly loss of this sweet soul and dear sister in Christ. She was always an encouraging delight to others. We do rejoice that she is with her Lord, safe, happy and whole. We will be praying for Larry and the entire family as they look to the Lord for comfort and grace.

We are saddened by your loss of dear Laura, but rejoicing that she is in the presence of the Lord. We will always remember our good times, Larry, with you & Laura in Florida and at your home.
