Robert H. “Bob” Phillips, 77 years of Honey Brook, died on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at his home, while under the loving care of his beloved family and hospice.
He was born in Abington, PA on Monday, June 30, 1947. Bob was the son of the late Henry and Jane (Schutz) Phillips. He was the husband of Coritha R. (Downs) Spencer. Bob and Coritha committed their lives to each other for over 30 years and were joined in marriage on December 24, 2014.
Bob was the owner of Phillips Apparel Shop in Downingtown. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Bob enjoyed wood carving and traveling with Coritha. He was well known for his artistry in renovating different homes. He received numerous awards for his painting of miniature military figures. He was a 50-year member and past Master of the Brandywine Goddard F&AM Lodge # 383 of Coatesville, a 50-year member of the Reading Lodge of Perfection and the Lulu Shriners.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Christopher Phillips (wife Lynda Phillips) of Pottstown, a daughter, Rebecca Williams (husband Shawn Williams) of Elizabethtown, two stepdaughters, Amy (Spencer) Bauer (husband Christopher Bauer) of Dresher and Catherine (Spencer) Bernard (husband Vincent Bernard) of Princeton Junction, NJ, an identical twin brother, Frederick Phillips (wife Nancy Phillips) of Lewes, DE and Jane Bostock (husband Braden Bostock) of Huntington Valley. There are 7 grandchildren, Jonathan and Lauren Phillips, Christopher, Sabrina, and Scarlett Bauer, Leo and Gavin Bernard.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday January 25, 2025 at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc. 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, PA. Then following at 12:00 pm a Masonic Service will begin conducted by his masonic brothers. A private interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
