Born in a blizzard in late March 1958, Bret D. Delp passed away with nary a whimper Oct.7 at his home. After battling numerous health issues for many years, and spending his final 2 years in and out of hospitals and nursing homes, “Delpy” returned home for his final weeks on earth.
Bret spent the majority of his life working in the manufactured housing industry. One of his proudest accomplishments was an instrumental role in creating and building “Miles the Monster”, which stands outside Dover Downs racetrack. He was an avid comic book and trading card collector.
Surviving are his brother Bart and his wife Sally, along with hisnephew Dylan Delp and his wife Alie. An Aunt and Uncle, along with numerous cousins also survive.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Joan Delp, and a nephew Cody M. Delp
A graveside service will be held in the near future at Zeltenreich Cemetery, New Holland.
