John R. Hutchinson, 78 years of Elizabethtown, formerly of Denver, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Hospice of the Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, following an illness.
He was born in Lancaster on Sunday, April 28, 1946. John was the son of the late Marvin S. and Mildred G. (Lutz). He was the husband of the late Cheryl A. (Styer) Hutchinson, who died on November 18, 2021.
John graduated from Garden Spot High School. He was employed in automotive sales and service and was a volunteer fireman at Liberty Fire Company. John was a member of the California EC Church and the Howell Lodge # 405 F&AM of Honey Brook. He enjoyed Phillies baseball and socializing with family and friends.
John was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Ann Black.
John is survived by a daughter, Jodi and her husband Ken Altobello; two sons, Chad and his wife Alison Hutchinson and Todd and his wife Melissa Hutchinson all of Lancaster. There are seven grandchildren.
A graveside service, including Masonic Rites, will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM from Churchtown Methodist Cemetery, 2170 Main Street, Narvon Pa., with Pastor Tanner Cosgrave officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of John to the California EC Church, 350 California Road, Morgantown, Pa. 19543.
