Barbara Mary Fogg Dunkerton passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on August 20, 2022 at St. Martha Center in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Barbara was born in West Chester. Pennsylvania. She graduated from Tredyffrin Easttown (now Conestoga) High School in 1946. Subsequently she graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Home Economics, and later, Philadelphia College of the Bible. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Dunkerton, on September 1, 1950 at Great Valley Presbyterian Church in Malvern. Four years later, the couple was commissioned by this church to become missionaries in East Africa. The church supported the couple financially and in prayer for forty years. During those years Barbara and Richard were involved in a Bible teaching ministry in Kenya, Tanzania, and Lesotho, serving with Africa Inland Mission. After “retiring” from the mission field, Barbara and her husband continued to minister at Laurel Hill Bible Church in New Jersey, and later they found many ways to serve the Lord in Bradenton, Florida.
Barbara is reunited in glory with her father and mother, Howard Fogg and Ella Styer Fogg, her husband Richard Dunkerton, sister, Lois Fogg, brother Duer Fogg, and daughter Kathryn Brebner(Kevin) She is survived by her brothers James(Olivet) and Ronald(Linda) Fogg, her daughter Karen Erickson (Craig), sons Thomas (Ann), Richard (Janice), and Donald (Mary), as well as thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Great Valley Presbyterian Church, 2025 Swedesford Road, Malvern, Pennsylvania on September 10th at 10:30 am.
