Robert  Hubert, Jr.

Robert Hubert, Jr., 73 yrs. of Honey Brook, died on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Reading Hospital, following an illness.

He was born on Saturday, June 12, 1948 in Philadelphia. Robert was the son of the late Robert and Catherine (Walkins) Hubert. He was the husband of Janet L. (Newby) Hubert, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Robert was a retired self-employed contractor, who later worked as a driver for Sun Oil Company.  He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  Robert was a member of the Honey Brook Wawassan Post # 422, Millsboro American Legion Post # 28, Dave Dolby AMVETS Post # 2 of Long Neck and the Sleepy Hollow Athletic Club.   He enjoyed fishing and motorcycle rides. Bob loved spending time with his family, friends & grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Timothy Skiles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by  two sons, Anthony Basciano of Fort Lauderdale and Robert (Holly) Hubert of Birdsboro, two daughters, Renee (Ed) Skiles of Delaware and Kimberly Cox of Mohnton, a brother, Michael Hubert of Coaldale, three sisters, Carole Cowley of Havertown, Bonnie Logue of Drexel Hill and Joan Casta of Springfield.   There are also eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11 AM at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa. The family will receive friends starting at 10 AM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Robert to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org   or the Disabled American Veterans at www.DAV.org
