Frank M. Houck Frank M. Houck, 85 years, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Elverson passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017, at the Lancaster General Hospital, following an illness. 

Frank was born on Sept. 22, 1931, in Warwick Twp., Chester Co.  He was the son of the late Walter and Blanche (Beam) Houck.  Frank was the husband of Ruth S. (Pautsch) Houck, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.

He was a chemical operator for Wyeth Labs of West Chester.  Frank also worked at Timac Argo USA of Reading.  He was a member of Goodwill United Methodist Church, the Hopewell Hunting Camp and the Moose Lodge.   Frank enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a devoted Phillies fan.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Houck.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Melvin (Sheryl) Houck of Narvon, two daughters, Barbara and Donna, two step-sons, Frank (Irene) Stoltzfus of Elizabethtown and Robert (Beth) Stoltzfus of Elverson, a step-daughter, Diane (Steve) Drumheller of Morgantown, and a sister, Mary (Austin) Lammey of Elverson.  There are 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11AM from Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 2286 Hopewell Road, Elverson, PA, with Robert “Drew” Welch officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Methodist Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, PA and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Dear Ruth, Melvin, Barb, Donna, Frank, and Robert. So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. I will always remember the great times spent at your family farm, dining table, riding horses, and cleaning out the chicken houses many years ago. Frank was an inspiration to many.
