Donald
P. “Red or Don” Geib, Sr., 79 yrs., of Morgantown, formerly of Ridgefield Park,
NJ, passed away peacefully under the care of his beloved family and
Neighborhood Hospice at his home on Thursday, March 29, 2012.
He
was born on January 28, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. Don was the son of the late Paul
and Beatrice (Ryan) Geib. He was the
husband of Domenica E. “Eleanor” (DiMola) Geib, with whom he shared 55 years of
marriage.
Donald
retired as an office services supervisor for the Mobil Oil Corp. He served his country in the US Air Force,
during the Korean War. Don was a member of the American Legion and the Special
Police both of Ridgefield Park, NJ. He
was known to many as a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed working on anything that
needed his attention. Don enjoyed
bowling and his favorite dog, Nellie, who will miss her master dearly.
He
was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine “Geri” Geib.
A
son, Donald P. Geib, Jr. of Landing, NJ, 2 daughters, Dianne Luciano of Wasilla,
AK and Dina M. Porter of Morgantown, a sister, Paula Testa of Hudson, FL,
survives Donald in addition to his wife.
There are 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A
memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 3 PM from Hopewell
Christian Fellowship Church, 2286 Hopewell Road, Elverson, PA 19520 with Pastor Mark Kraybill officiating.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
